Customer Rating: Summary: Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 Comment: I am very glad I bought this book. I have been enrolled in a graphic web design class since March of 2010 (it ends in July of 2010) for the purposes of building my Professional Development company. I desperately needed extra practice, because I did not desire to slow down the pace of the class. With this book, I have been practicing lessons at my own pace. Anything I do not fully understand, I can continue doing until I completely understand the process. Each lesson can act as a stand-alone tutorial, or be done in its entirety. I have nearly completed all of the lessons; I look forward to learning how to post websites through Dreamweaver (chapter 11). Using this book, I am quite confident I will get a professional, interactive site that will get a lot of traffic. I strongly recommend this book!
Customer Rating: Summary: Good book for beginners Comment: It is a good if you are starting to learn how to use Dreamweaver but it is maybe a little bit of more explanation for those whom are not into creating web pages.
Customer Rating: Summary: Requires a basic knowledge of HTML/CSS. Comment: This book is pretty good for someone who is already familiar with HTML/CSS and wants to get a basic overview of Dreamweaver. It is not recommended for anyone who wants a more comprehensive tutorial.
Customer Rating: Summary: Easy to Follow Comment: This is one of the easiest books out there to develop a solid understanding of Dreamweaver. It is amazing how this book can so easily step you through all of the perceived complications of using this program. If followed step by step one should have no problems in being able to develop a quality web page using Dreamweaver.
I highly recommend this program to all beginning level users. It is easy to read and painlessly steps your through the process. Just be sure to actually read it and follow the instructions as given. . . do not skip!
Customer Rating: Summary: Expected More Comment: The book is good to get you used to using some of the tools in Dreamweaver. What it lacks and what has caused me to rate it lower is the explanations as to WHY you do something. The book is full of tutorials that mainly tell you to click here and click here to make something happen, but it fails to give explanations. The lessons start out with pages partially done so you are left guessing as to how the page came to be that way. It is an ok book for getting you exposed to Dreamweaver, but not good on giving understanding.
